The El Assiouty family in Egypt has been a leading name in the world of Oriental handmade carpets and kilims since 1956.
Magdy El Assiouty is a son of the original founder. His experience and enthusiasm makes him one of the best sellers of oriental handmade carpets offering a supreme quality in product design and manufacture. In 1985 Magdy El Assiouty established his own carpet Business and quickly built up a reputation for superior quality carpets matched with a first class bespoke service to a very discerning and sophisticated clientel. The Magdy El Assiouty carpet shop is now well known for its magnificent and unique collection of handmade carpet which are all made with natural materials, based upon original Caucasian, Turkish and Iranian designs. The weavers make the carpets using natural fibres including wool, cotton and silk. The collection also includes some very interesting modern pieces such as yastics, wall hangings and cushion covers.
