Erlan history begins in the 1952 when the first candies branded under the name "Cometa", was produced by hand. On June 12th 1952, "Valentine's Day", “Produtos Erlan Ltda.” was born aiming to industrialize and sell candy, sweet and chocolates.
In 1983 Erlan takes an important step, initiating the export process that sought to conquer the international market. In only 5 years 20% of its production is destinated for exports. Due to the continuous opening of new markets, Erlan expands and modernizes, repeating in the international market the same success achivied in Brazil over the years. It’s efficient model of industrialization and marketing made possible the sale of it’s products on all continents: Africa, Asia, Oceania, Europe and South America, North and Central America. In 2004, the company invests and installs a chocolate factory, starting production of tablets and bars using it’s own chocolate for the production.
