AWAMA deals in assorted African Handmade Craft and Arts all made from locally available raw materials. With the high rise of poverty and unemployment in Kenya especially among those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS pandemic, the mentally and physically handicapped, AWAMA embarked on working with these women groups and youth workshops alongside those living below the poverty line to assist improve their socio-economic status by marketing their products both locally and internationally.
AWAMA gives hope and opportunity to the move needy members of our society and at the same time carry on marketing these beautiful Craft Horns designed and made by this wonderful team.
AWAMA pays fair wages to the artisans and the processed earned by these crafts men and women help them cater for their basic needs including Food, Shelter, Education and Health care for their families which helps prevent early girl child marriage and cultural genital mutilation and enable those directly infected by HIV/AIDS cater for their nutrition and medical costs.
