My private practice is focused on individuals, families, children and teenagers from all walks of life.
The process of psychotherapy is a journey undertaken by the patient in conjunction with the therapist to address issues that may be causing some discomfit or unease in the patient’s life. A patient may undertake therapy to deal with a specific problem – e.g. anxiety, getting over a traumatic incidents, obsessional thoughts, self esteem issues, depression etc.
A safe space is created where the patient can speak openly about what the issues are without fear of any judgement from the therapist. This privileged relationship allows the patient the time and space to explore past and present dilemmas and to reduce the negative impact that they may be having on his life. Therapy is also undertaken where the patient does not have a particular problem but where he would like to grow and develop into a more integrated human being who knows and understands themselves better.
