Bio Dorf is registered as a Solid Waste Management limited liability company whose overall objective is to provide superior solid waste management systems with a view to improving/encouraging environmental conservation. Bio Dorf brings a fresh and innovative approach to solid waste management systems by introducing sorting of waste at source and encouraging reducing and recycling household waste.
Concerned about environmental degradation, Bio Dorf intends to change people’s attitude towards waste disposal. We are on the ground among the populations, encouraging sorting, reducing and reusing recyclable products. Away from the households, Bio Dorf purchases recyclable plastics from street boys who in turn collect them from garbage bins and from the Dandora dump site. These plastics are granulated for export.
With a view to slowing down the filling of dumpsites, Bio Dorf has plans of recycling kitchen waste to composted manure on large scale.
