As an established company and trademark, ESTRO is a recognized name and establish brand in the Central African fruit industry. ESTRO Douala started in 1997 solely as a fruit dealer. At first ESTRO Mauritius Douala fruit from local farmers and sold this to importers in the Netherlands. Over the years this has changed significantly encompassing fruit production, farm management, fruit processing, logistics and fruit export servicing established clients worldwide.
In 2005 the Dutch Development Finance Company FMO became a shareholder in ESTRO Douala
