The BELL METAL or DHOKRA is one of the earliest known methods of metal casting. This craft dates back to the pre-historic time of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro period of Indus Valley Civilization.
The ancient art of cire-perdue or lost wax thread method of metal casting is practiced from last 200 years by the tribal people of BASTAR, Chhattisgarh.
