Nagathom Fund is the first international agricultural company in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Nagathom Fund’s goals are:
* to create an internationally recognized quality Cambodian fresh food brand
* to meet the Cambodian demand for local and natural products,
* to develop the local economy by providing jobs to local farmers, and
* to improve the soil fertility by working the land and respecting the environment at the same time.
The rice paddy is harvested and taken to be dried at Nagathom’s modern dryer. It is then processed by Nagathom’s modern rice mill which has a capacity to mill rice up to 12,000 tons per year to international standards.
Nagathom aims to work with local farming communities to improve their farming practices and increase their rice yields and will buy large volumes of fragrant and dry cycle rice varieties from them at fair market value prices provided they grow rice under sustainable eco-friendly farming practices.
