The company settled up as a professional manufacturer and lead marketer of high precision cutting tools and machine knives for over 80 years.
The first workshop was founded in 1918 as a Mechanical Engineering Department of Group CREUSOT LOIRE, became Usinor (one of the mother companies of Arcelor MITTAL Group)
During the years, SOGELAM has become one of the most recognized and powerful brands in cutting tool industry.
The company sells today their products into 4 distinct divisions:
- Metal, Iron, Stainless and steel (Hot and Cold Shear)
- Recycling
- Glass industry (feeder knives)
- Service to Mills (Repair, regrinding shear blades)
