The company was started as a brickyard manufacturing facing bricks by the De Checchi family in the 1940s. In 1970, the “soft paste” method helped the company specialise as manufacturers of facing bricks. Production grew and the company opened another plant in Noale and established S.Marco Laterizi.
In the 1980s, the family business split up. Since then, Fornace S.Anselmo has been manufacturing a wide range
of high quality facing bricks. In the latest years, after the company had become a recognised quality leader
in the market, they started to buy out other brickyards to complete their range
of products and services.
