Ltd. in collaboration with a well known American company for IOL-manufacturing technology, started manufacturing and marketing Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) under the brand name "John Fowler Ophthalmics Private Limited (JFOPL) was in corporate in the State of Maharashtra, India in November 1995. His vision behind becoming JFOPL was to make available the most superior quality lens to the visually affected segment of the society. He strived to prove that an Indian company can compete globally even on the quality aspects of an IOL. After Stringent Assessing of total Quality Management system at JFOPL the company is awarded ISO 9001:2000 for design & development of Ophthalmic devices by reputed certifying agencies, Since 1998
