Patwa Apparel started out focusing on t-shirts which are about “Jamaican messages making the world smile”. With a mantra to take ‘Brand Jamaica” to the world, Patwa Apparel is the first company in Jamaica to create a line of clothing, mainly t-shirts, merging Jamaica’s fashion with the authentic Jamaican language (Patois/Patwa). In a sense you may say that Patwa Apparel speaks a ‘fashionable Jamaican language’.
The main target segments are local Jamaicans with disposable income; Jamaicans living abroad, mainly in the USA and the UK among other countries; Tourists that visit Jamaica and people around the world that love Jamaican Culture.
Based on the company’s new strategic direction, the name of the company will be changed in January 2016 to Patwa International Group Limited with vision is to be ‘the ‘go-to’ company to commemorate and celebrate Jamaica’s heritage worldwide’.
